How to check if a proxy works
A proxy checker connects through the address you provide and reports what it can reach. Paste one proxy or a list, start the check, then filter the table to compare working proxies and response times. Checks run from Localtonet’s server; a provider’s source-IP restrictions can affect the result.
For a specific website, enter its URL before starting. To investigate SOCKS5 relay behavior, use the dedicated SOCKS5 UDP tester. Once connected on your own device, the public IP check shows the address visible to websites.
Why does my proxy check fail?
Check the host, port, username and password first. A proxy can also reject this checker’s server, block the target website or time out. Select the result’s status to read its reported reason. A failed check from this server does not prove that the proxy cannot work from your own network.
Does “Associated” mean UDP is working?
It means the SOCKS5 proxy accepted UDP ASSOCIATE. “UDP ✓ RT” additionally confirms a returned UDP response. Association alone cannot confirm a working UDP round trip.
Can I compare proxy speed with this tool?
The response time is measured from this server during the check. Use it to compare results from the same run. Your location, target website and network can produce different times.
Does an anonymity result guarantee privacy?
No. It describes signals observed during this proxy check. Your browser, DNS settings and other connections can expose additional information. Check WebRTC and DNS resolver paths after configuring the proxy on your device.
